Stop Them Weeds From Growing!
Before you begin mulching weeds in your garden to kill them, consider whether you are attempting to get rid of something you can use. Without the need for manual root-pulling, mulching can smother weeds and even kill shallow-rooted plants’ roots, but it must be thick. The most effective mulches are strong and natural. Thickly applied at a distance of 4 to 8 inches; if in doubt, add more.
Bark Chips and Chunks
These two are often used to suppress weeds and have good wind and compaction resistance. They function best when used in landscaping around shrubs, trees, and perennials. If you’d like, you could also use them on garden paths. Just remember that picking the medium over fine will prevent weed growth.
